Brendan Shine is one of Ireland’s best-loved entertainers, celebrating more than 60 years in music. Born in County Roscommon into a musical family, he developed his passion for music in the family dance hall before studying piano, organ and accordion. From playing traditional music and serving as his local church organist, he went on to become one of Ireland’s most successful solo artists.

Since launching his solo career in the late 1960s, Brendan has released over 50 albums, achieved numerous number one hits and toured extensively throughout Ireland, the UK, Europe and the USA. His enduring catalogue includes classics such as Catch Me If You Can, Where the Three Counties Meet, Do You Want Your Old Lobby Washed Down, Grandad, My Son and Where Did You Meet Her.

Throughout his remarkable career, Brendan has performed at world-renowned venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden and the National Concert Hall in Dublin. A familiar face on television and radio in both Ireland and the UK, he has also hosted his own RTÉ series.

Honoured with the Freedom of Roscommon and recognised by the President of Ireland for his contribution to Irish music and culture, Brendan continues to perform alongside his daughter Emily, delighting audiences around the world.
